Our client is a well respected and rapidly growing $2B+ global branded personal care & cosmetic products company who is closing on a $600M acquisition and this role will be responsible for the successful integration of the global supply chain, manufacturing and procurement integration. Title:                                 VP, Supply Chain Operations Integration Lead
Reports to:                      Executive Vice President, Chief Supply Chain Officer       
Location:                         Raleigh, NC (Could be NY/NJ based, but preferred location is NC) 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:   

  • As a member of the cross-functional integration team, gain a solid understanding of business objectives and participate in the development of the commercial and financial framework of the Corporate integration plans
    • Serve as a subject matter expert in integration functions and process including understanding critical success factors, business case measures, and other key value drivers of the integration process
  • Develop the new supply chain organization model and integration plan, working closely with EVP, Supply Chain Officer ,Cross-Functional Integration Leader, and members of the Global Supply Chain Leadership team
    • Conduct operational, financial and organizational needs assessments, stakeholder analysis, document business processes and systems, and facilitate the transformation from "current state" to "future state"
    • Develop stakeholder engagement plans and communicate strategy, status, direction and changes
  • Provide project management leadership in the implementation of the new supply chain organization model, delivering a minimum of $15.5m+ (and corresponding Capex and one-time cost management) of supply synergy and savings across purchasing, manufacturing, distribution, planning in the first two (2) years
    • Monitor, manage and report on deliverables, timelines, budget, risks and mitigation plans
  • Lead  the incremental rationalization strategy development and implementation of our manufacturing and distribution network beyond year two
  • Build effective relationships and coordinate/collaborate closely with supply chain leaders/colleagues across companies (regional, manufacturing, procurement, distribution, logistics, planning,etc.) to guide/support resources in the successful implementation of the new supply chain organization model, processes, systems, metrics, etc.
  • Provides integration expertise to others within the team to assist them in meeting project deliverables
  • Partner closely with Finance in the tracking and reporting of our integration and synergy costs, as well as any synergy savings
  • Active participation as a member of the Supply Chain Leadership Team, responsible for helping to create the business strategies, growth plans and management routines that will deliver profitable growth
  • Expected to foster a culture of continuous improvement and act as the catalyst for business improvement

Ideal Education

  • Minimum Education Required:   Bachelor’s Degree Required;  MBA Preferred
  • 15+ years end-to-end supply chain leadership (VP/Senior Director level) experience including plant manufacturing, planning, distribution network, supply chain systems (preferably across a region)
  • Supply Chain integration experience within large, complex CPG companies (Including successful experience managing and executing global business process change initiatives
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to manage and influence cross-functional teams
  • Proven project management skills on large projects that are highly integrated and cross functional in nature (developing project plans including charter, scope, project management approach, management plans, cost estimates, schedule, work breakdown). Disciplined in process execution and compliance
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen
  • Executive presence and highly developed interpersonal communication and presentation skills.  
  • Must be a results-oriented "change agent" who can understand different points of view and effectively manage big-picture and tactical execution.
  • Cultural Fit - ability to work in a fast-paced, hard-driving culture with a lean structure, demonstrated ability to succeed in and to drive a culture of performance
  • Ability to travel internationally- 25-30%.
  • Regarded as a change agent and leader of end-to-end supply chain operations that drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to collaborate, motivate and lead globally through others and influence the achievement of common goals.
