Promoting cross-functional collaboration, customer communication & service, flexibility & adaptability, and career growth, they seek a strategic Vice President to lead the supply chain in a rapidly changing high-volume FMCG/CPG environment.
Title: Vice President, Supply Chain
Position Purpose
The Vice President, Supply Chain will be a key contributor to corporate strategies supporting robust revenue growth over the next three years. This role is responsible for leading the global end-to-end supply chain focused on the areas of Supply & Demand Planning, Customer Service, Procurement, Forecasting/Materials Requirement Planning, Master Production Scheduling, Capacity Planning,S&OP and Inventory.
He/she will lead by engaging, coaching and developing a team of 35+ ensuring all programs & priorities are aligned to drive improved capabilities, end-to-end supply harmonization, competitive customer service deliverables & industry best practices. The appropriate candidate will serve as an influential leader and strategic manager committed to winning the hearts and minds of customers and internal stakeholders within the high-SKU, high-volume, high-turnover (SKU) environment.
He/she must have experience with customer facing to ensure the customer service organization is viewed as a valued business partner. Financial and ERP/systems competencies are required to measure & drive results, and to improve information flow internally & externally. He/she serves as an inspirational & influential leader infusing the organization with new thinking, adaptability, and improved ways of operating internally and externally while providing a sustainable & competitive advantage for the organization
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic plans to drive step change improvements in areas of opportunity within the company's inventory portfolio, and in meeting/exceeding customers' needs for improved communication, quick turns & on-time delivery related to promotional products, year-round products, new product launches, and seasonal demands.
- Initiate key strategic initiatives across the multiple sites to continually improve working capital utilization and operating cash flow. Focus areas of opportunity include Supplier Performance Management (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Service), MRP, Inventory Management, and Customer Service.
- Represent the organization in key customer meetings providing insight into the overall supply chain's capabilities as it relates to innovation, delivering finished products, and in identifying key areas of opportunity to better serve customers.
- Benchmark and establish targets for forecast accuracy, inventory turns, inventory obsolescence and monitoring results to ensure targets are met/exceeded.
- Develop the strategy and execution plan for production planning, procurement, customer service, and supply chain systems working closely with internal partners in Sales, R&D, IT, Manufacturing & Distribution.
- Serve as a key business partner for future ERP implementations ensuring minimal impact on customer service & production.
- Assess and implement global sourcing strategies focused on meeting quality, financial and timeline objectives.
- Responsible for creating an environment focused on development, training & growth. Ensures reports have active growth plans and are coached to strengthen developmental areas of opportunity also ensuring his/her own succession/growth.
Education/Requirements
- 7+ years in leadership roles in Product Supply in CPG/FMCG/Food/Bev industry. FMCG is required.
- Experience in a High Volume, High SKU, Fast Moving Regulatory Environment. Customer Interfacing required.
- Track record of Strategy Setting & Deployment, Change Management, & Large-Scale Time-Compressed Growth Projects.
- Ability to work in a growing, entrepreneurial, and small- to mid-sized organization.
- Proven growth & cultural awareness in fast-moving organizations. Upwardly mobile, self-driven, adaptive leadership style.
- BS in Finance, Business, Purchasing or Operations related field. MS/MBA, ISM, APICs & major ERP preferred.
- Key Competencies: leadership & development, impact focused, adaptability, project management, strong influencing skills, and high-level communication/negotiation/problem solving.
