HUNT EXECUTIVE SEARCH ANNOUNCEMENT We seek a Vice President of Marketing for our private equity portfolio company client that has experienced double digit growth on both the top and bottom line each year over the past decade. The company has been a leading developer of innovative consumer durable products for over 50 years and has an aggressive growth appetite for next level results and we seek an innovative new product development oriented marketing executive to lead the effort. Title: Vice President of Marketing Reports to: CEO Location: Mountain Time Zone (Confidential Client) Position Overview The Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for leading the company’s growth through new products and new category entries. This position will be the primary lead in developing and delivering strategically aligned and commercially viable innovation projects. The Vice President of Marketing will also help establish and guide the appropriate innovation processes to facilitate new product development of the established Marketing segments. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Identify new innovation opportunities to drive revenue, margin and profit growth. • Develop and guide the innovation and new product strategies of the organization. • Assess element of risk to manage a balanced and funded innovation portfolio that reflects the company’s goals and strategies. • Build and manage a distinct innovation approach with the appropriate processes, tools and metrics to support new growth opportunities. • Lead cross-functional, multi-market teams to deliver projects efficiently and effectively. • Provide management, coaching and professional guidance to direct reports with a focus on developing functional, interpersonal and leadership skills. • Create multi-disciplinary technical innovation and solutions to support growth strategies in the areas of new products, package development and consumer messaging. • Deliver consumer/shopper insights to be applied in new products, retail plan-o-grams, why and how consumers buy and how to differentiate. Experience Required • 10+ years of experience in the consumer products industry (preferably consumer durables) with broad functional experiences including innovative product development, brand marketing, strategic planning, project management, market analysis, research planning, portfolio management and marketing communication. • Must have solid experience and understanding of mass channel and consumer. • Superior ability to create a clear and compelling vision. • Good financial acumen: P&L management, pricing, COGS, margins, budgets, cash flow and capital investments.
