LVMH names new Tag Heuer CEO

French luxury giant LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SA has named Stephane Linder as chief executive of its Tag Heuer watch brand, the latest episode of a recent management reshuffle at the top of the company's brands.

Mr. Linder, who is currently vice president of sales in North America for the Swiss watch maker, will take up the position from June 1st onwards.

He will replace Jean-Christophe Babin, who stepped down earlier this year to head up Bulgari, after the jewelry brand's CEO Michael Burke became the new chief of Louis Vuitton.

Mr. Linder joined Tag Heuer in 1993 in the research and development department, and has previously held the positions of R&D and Brand Director, and Vice President of Marketing and Product Design, said LVMH in a statement.

The move is likely to bring an end to a round of changes in top executive roles at the world's largest luxury company, which followed the unexpected departure of Jordi Constance from the helm of LVMH's main brand Louis Vuitton late last year.
