Biden Staffer to lead PepsiCo's Government Affairs
Alan Hoffman has joined PepsiCo as senior vice-president of global public policy and government affairs. Hoffman most recently was the deputy chief of staff to vice-president Joe Biden and deputy assistant to President Obama.
Before he arrived at the White House in 2008, Hoffman was chief of staff to then-Senator Biden. He was also a lobbyist at think tank Rand Corp. and government relations firm Timmons & Co. Earlier in his career, Hoffman served at the U.S. Justice Department as special counsel to the assistant attorney general for legislative affairs and as an assistant U.S. attorney in Philadelphia.
Hoffman succeeds Dan Bryant, who left the post to join the Covington & Burling law firm. He will be based at PepsiCo's Purchase, NY, headquarters.
