Our client is a new & innovative "high growth" US start-up company who manufactures and distributes a range of natural feminine hygiene products. We seek a creative, fast-paced sales leader who possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and has the drive to deliver results and make a positive impact in FMCG.

Title:               Vice President of Sales
Reports to:    CEO
Location:       San Francisco (Field Based)

Position Overview
Responsible and accountable for the current and long-term profitable sales growth of all products in the Mass, Drug and Grocery channels.

Major Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Develops and delivers business strategy to create competitive advantage and ensure integration with  overall business goals
  • Responsible for P&L management and for the delivery of financial goals and targets
  • Provides organizational and team leadership through alignment, clear strategic direction, priorities and performance expectations to attain aggressive growth goals
  • Build strategic relationships with top customers
  • Provides perspective to the Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and R&D functions, ensuring consistency between Sales initiatives and plan priorities

Key Performance Indicators

  • Deliver Net Sales and Efficiency Targets
  • Achieve Share Growth on Core Brands
  • Improve productivity through maximizing ROI of trade funds and minimizing returns
  • Forecast Accuracy @ 95%
  • Completed Employee Development Plans and Succession Planning

Education/Experience Required

  • Bachelors Degree. Masters Degree preferred
  • Ten plus years in fast moving consumer goods and experience in sales management
  • Extensive knowledge of customer base and competitive landscape
  • Strong consumer products knowledge, with excellent retail environment and key account market knowledge
  • Continued track record of success and promotions in multiple channels e.g. Mass/Club, Drug, Grocery.
