Position Overview
The mission of this role is to expand the company's best in class operations by capitalizing on the opportunities that exist in freight consolidation and redistribution in food service and retail. The Vice President – Strategic Accounts will maintain and expand existing relationships with strategically important large Retail and Re-Distribution customers in Food Service as well as use solid business development skills to grow the portfolio of business within an assigned area.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:
·         Provide direction, leadership, and development of large national multi-unit retail accounts.
·         Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
·         Ensure business growth and simultaneously drive value across retailer’s supply chain.
·         Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
·         Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
·         Drive quality and effectiveness of existing business and consistently sell new business ideas, solutions, customer experience and loyalty to company.
·         Demonstrate excellent strategic and analytical skills in the areas of solution based selling, supply chain improvement, account building, integrated marketing communications and business development.
·         Proactively lead a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year periods.
·         Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
·         Lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
 
Accountabilities and Performance Measures
·         Achieve assigned sales targets/quota in designated strategic accounts.
·         Meet assigned expectations for profitability.
·         Achieve strategic customer objectives defined by company management.
·         Complete strategic customer account plans that meet company standards.
·         Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
 
 
Education & Experience  
·         Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree. MBA preferred.
·         10 years of Strategic Account management experience.
·         Excellent people management experience.
·         CPG & Supply Chain experience.
·         Superb written and verbal skills.
·         Outstanding presentation skills and presence.
·         Solid MS office skills.
·         Ability to travel 50% and be based out of Omaha, NE
