Our client is a $7B food manufacturing company. 

Title:                     Category Marketing Director - Food
Reports to:           VP Marketing
Location:              Dallas, TX
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for developing, driving, and managing overall strategic marketing planning process.
  • Works closely with Food Technology/R&D, Manufacturing Operations, Sales, and Marketing to align product strategy with global company objectives.
  • Leads all initiatives concerning product pricing, packaging, and promotion.
  • Identifies and collaborates with appropriate internal and external resources to move projects and go-to-market plans forward in a timely manner.
  • Collaborates frequently with the global commercial team to ensure marketing strategy alignment.
  • Conducts and/or coordinates marketing research and analysis to develop product definitions; frequently utilizing Nielsen data and others sources.
  • Leads and executes marketing and product presentations to key stake holders and external parties.
  • Maintains and manages communications and contacts to collect and analyze technical, financial, schedule, and sales information for product line.
Education & Experience
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of CPG (consumer packaged goods) experience with significant product/brand management experience.
  • Previous people management experience required.
  • Previous product launch experience required.
  • Working knowledge of food/beverage highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of ability to work within a team environment and/or independently as needed; adapt to change quickly (high flexibility); high personal motivation; ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must demonstrate ability to utilize quantitative and qualitative market information in order to support Marketing and Business Development and to facilitate the decision making process.
  • Proven track record of personal contributions regarding the brand and/or category strategic planning process, successful strategy execution (with coordination of internal and external resources), and results (growth).
  • Ability to travel overnight as needed; overnight travel is estimated at 30%
  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills as well as oral presentation and written skills.
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; Master’s degree preferred (MBA/MA).
