The business is expanding and has become a platform technology with opportunities to play in a wide array of disease states as a medical/consumer based healthcare product serving a large market need that’s not currently being served.

While still considered a startup, the risk profile has exponentially diminished due to the completion of three clinical trials and the security of current and future funding commitments from a Fortune 50 life sciences/consumer products company investment in the business.

TITLE:                          Senior Vice President of Sales - Oncology (JH17572)

LOCATION:                Northeast

 

Position Overview

This position will have broad geographic responsibility for the company's Oncology business and US sales team. The primary objective is to drive sales performance within the specialty care and retail sales channels.

The Sr. Vice President Sales will communicate and align the commercial vision and strategy for the sales organization, both with the team and across the cancer treatment centers, primary care provider networks, specialty pharma and consumer retail channels. She/he will be expected to deliver on ambitious revenue growth targets for oncology products while ensuring the company has the right sales teams, structures, and culture of coaching and accountability to maximize their growth.

The Sr. Vice President, Sales will be expected to dive deep into underperforming geographies, diagnose root causes and implement effective execution strategy and execution plans. She/he will also demonstrate the ability to adapt the commercial model in advanced/complex geographies and bring unique approaches to drive portfolio sales.  

Due to the importance of Oncology within this company, this is a critical and highly visible role that will provide a platform for exponential future growth.

Required Experience

          Be a proven transformational leader of a highly successful regional and/or national sales management team.

          Possess a deep and significant expertise in building relationships with and selling to physicians and healthcare networks.

          Demonstrate a track record of building and leading successful high impact sales teams, driving top and bottom line growth. 

          Experience with successful new product launches.

          Experience developing and implementing novel sales approaches in the US life sciences and healthcare marketplace, including pull through programs, innovative tactics, and alternative commercial models. 

          Responsible for driving behaviors down through all levels of the organization by modeling, clearly communicating and coaching.

          Have a strong business acumen with exposure to all facets and functions of the business.

          Be a high-powered individual with a demonstrated drive and ability to succeed at multiple levels.

          Ability to provide business leadership in an entrepreneurial culture and environment.

          Solid understanding of the oncology market is essential

          Travel 50-70%
