For all of us, our values and attitudes act as a "filter" through which we process information.
Here's an example: You have a person you would like to influence whose Primary attitudes are Theoretical (thirst for knowledge) and Social (caring about people). By knowing this you will be able to talk about things of interest to THEM (books, charities, causes) and present information in ways that will be "valued" by them - lots of information and the impact on people.
To understand the attitudes of others it is best to start with an understanding of your own attitudes. The Personal Interests, Attitudes & Values report allows you to do this.
As you review your report you will build an appreciation of your values and their importance to you and become more aware of how values impact others you would like to influence.
It is important to realize that people with different values (filters) may arrive at the same decision but for different reasons. For instance, a high Aesthetic may fall in love with a house because of its beauty while a high Utilitarian may choose the same house because it is a great investment.
To accelerate and sustain high achievement it is critical that our values, attitudes and behaviors
are congruent with each other. Achieving this objective is the key to building and sustaining a successful life, team or company.
